Dear Family

I am sure you are all getting ready to celebrate Christmas with your family and loved ones.

I am sure, just like me, none of you would have imagined what 2020 would bring.

We had a promise from God for “Heaven on Earth” and then this pandemic happened.

During this year many people asked the question, where is Heaven on Earth?

Reflecting over this past year, I think you’d agree that we saw Heaven on Earth in action during this crisis.

I am totally aware that many of you have suffered severe losses...

Some of you have lost loved ones, others lost businesses and sources of income, some suffered emotional trauma or lost relationships….

I do want to encourage you that our God is Faithful and He will still have the final say in each one of our lives!

Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 4, that there are times that even he was left perplexed, puzzled and bewildered. Times when he did not understand what was happening, but he knew and chose to believe that God was in control.

Needless to say, this was a very challenging chapter for each one of us in different areas of our lives, with many highs and many lows.

Despite this, tens of thousands of you chose, even in the time of suffering, to extend a hand of kindness and generosity to those who were suffering more.

Although this has been a severe lockdown, with many restrictions imposed upon us as a church, we still experienced God’s favour released upon our ministry in a supernatural way with many new doors opening, enabling us to reach millions more!

We are so grateful as our CRC Media and Broadcast Ministry expanded to new territory, broadcasting live on three networks every week; One Gospel, TBN and Faith TV, with an average viewership of over 402 500 per Sunday.

We gained territory on TBN Russia, with between 2-4 million viewers per Sunday as well as broadcasting into prisons in Russia.

Our program also now plays out in Israel to over 60% of the Russian speaking population.

Our CRC Kids produced outstanding content, reaching thousands of kids as the program played out weekly on ONE Gospel, gaining so much momentum that this platform will be extended into 2021.

Dubbed versions of our CRC Music now plays out on a secular channel, RTVC, and the band has just released our 4th CRC Music album. Within hours it was already the number one album on the South African iTunes and multiple online stores across all genres!

Some other huge highlights include the tremendous work done through CRC Cares this year.

Through CRC Cares, over 50 000 food parcels were distributed across South Africa, each with enough groceries to support and feed a family of four for one month.

We distribute 150 000 cups of nutritious soup at 70 sites across Bloemfontein, Pretoria and Johannesburg per month.

1300 baby packs valued at R700 each were distributed to assist mothers who are not able to afford the essential baby products.

Over 500 large bags of clothing and blankets were distributed to the less fortunate during the winter months.

We also established the Eersterust sports program. Our first outreach saw 45 kids and teenagers joining us and at our last outreach for the year we saw over 514 kids and teenagers join us!

Because of your generosity 1889 children were blessed through our Crèches 4 Africa, Talitha Cumi place of safety and school Christmas outreaches in Bloemfontein, Pretoria and Johannesburg and during these outreaches 251 high school learners committed their lives to Christ!

Our #CRCCares Stuff Your Trolley Christmas Drive was a huge success! Together, we were able to bless over 1037 families with Christmas Treat Bags making their Christmas extra special. ‌‌‌‌As part of our Restoration Wall campaign, we distributed over 1578 sports balls to children and families.

Not only that, but together, we have already raised R8.150 million towards the Umtata Building Project.

We also purchased land in Johannesburg to continue expansion in 2021.

And this is all thanks to YOU, each one who contributed to making this possible!

As your Pastor, I am totally overwhelmed by God’s faithfulness during 2020 as well as the commitment, love and Kingdom-mindedness displayed by all of you during this pandemic.

I ask you, that as you reflect over 2020 that you do not allow yourself to get stuck in the valleys but that you allow yourself to lift your eyes and to see the hand of God working in your life, bringing you through valleys, sustaining you in the fire and protecting you in the most stormy times.

I started this year by preaching a series on the Good Shepherd and I believe that you have truly experienced His Guidance, Provision and Protection as your Good Shepherd.

I believe that God is preparing a table in the presence of our enemies.

I believe God is anointing our heads with fresh oil, to see the future that He has in mind for us.

I believe that His Goodness and Mercy will keep us and follow us every day of our lives.

I believe that 2021 will be a Year of Divine Restoration and that you will recover all!

I want to remind you again of David at Ziklag who experienced severe losses and emotional trauma when his wives and children were taken captive and all he had was burnt by fire.

David did three things:

  1. He strengthened himself in the Lord
  2. He enquired of God
  3. Then he pursued a path of recovery

I encourage you during this time to allow yourself to be refreshed and to be strengthened by God’s Presence.

I also pray that God will give you your pathway to recovery and full restoration in 2021.

I believe we are going to see a huge turnaround and a release of God’s unusual favour during 2021.

We need to prepare ourselves spiritually, mentally and emotionally for this… And please, as I have pleaded with you during my last series of 2020 …Lay every emotional burden down, whether it be bitterness, resentment, anger, disappointment, regret or unforgiveness.

"Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." - Hebrews 12 : 2

Be assured of all my love and prayers for each one of you. May we all be together soon in God’s House, celebrating and worshipping the Name that is above every other Name … JESUS!!!

Finally, I wish to thank each and every one of you for every prayer, every offering, every word of encouragement, every smile, every positive comment and all the support and contributions towards the poor and the needy.

It truly is the greatest privilege and honour to be your Pastor!

Have a wonderful and blessed Christmas time!

All my Love,

AB
